Research and Development recommendations: When my patrol vehicle was fitted with the Roadmaster Coil Pro, I noticed a marked improvement in the car’s performance. In particular, the handling and the ride in general. I noticed the car cornered much better at high speed and the ride seemed to be smoother. The braking and acceleration also improved with the addition of the Coil Pro. I think the fitting of the Coil Pro to the patrol fleet would be a wise choice. The coil assist spring seemed to improve the car’s performance and safety.

Research and Development recommendations: I recommend the Roadmaster Coil Pro for all STP Patrol cars. They help with the loading and unloading of the hand scales and other equipment. The springs also help in making U turns. These springs are well suited for STP patrol vehicles because of the weight of the hand scales in the trunk.

Thank you for the opportunity to test out the Coil Pro at our Driver Training Centre. We installed the Coil Pro on one of our 1998 Crown Victoria police cars used for training police recruits. We have three Crown Victorias that are used by our instructors. The instructors were not advised that one of their vehicles had the Coil Pro installed.

The driver track is made up of slaloms, left and right offsets, as well as small and large radius curves. The track is designed to simulate city driving at various speeds. I asked our instructors to rate the lateral stability of each of the three CV’s after a two month period of training. All of the instructors rated the CV with the Coil Pro as the best handling of the three. They said that it was much more stable and the lateral stability was excellent. As the instructors were unaware of the Coil Pro, I believe their assessment was without bias.

I am confident that the lateral stability of the Crown Victoria was greatly improved when it was fitted with the Coil Pro.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for making the Roadmaster Coil Pro available to the Greenville Police Department. As of this date we have installed the Coil Pro system on six patrol cars and have been very pleased with the results. The police department had tried several different methods to raise the rear end of the patrol vehicles and were disappointed with the results for one reason or another, the Roadmaster Coil Pro became available. After we placed the first one on and tested it, the results were so good that officers asked to have one put on their assigned vehicles.

The Greenville Police Department was having problems with the rear end of patrol vehicles squatting so low the back bumper cover would drag and eventually break off. Some of our vehicles carry equipment that is necessary for specialized positions and that equipment is heavy. Due to the weight of this equipment the vehicle suffered a lack of handling in day to day driving requirements and even more during emergency situations.
The Roadmaster Coil Pro system helped to stabilize the patrol vehicle.

One of your Coil Pro kits was recently installed on my 1999 Ford Crown Victoria patrol vehicle. As all police officers do, I carry a large amount of equipment in the trunk and it was causing the rear bumper to drag going in and out of driveways. You product raised the rear of the car back to where it was when the trunk was empty. I would like to commend you and your Company for this fine product and would recommend it to anyone that carries gear in the trunk and performs emergency driving. We’ve installed the Coil Pro on a large number of our vehicles and plan to outfit the entire fleet.

This letter is just a “Thank You” for developing such a good product as the Coil Pro. I have been driving Ford Crown Victoria police vehicles for over 17 years now and really believe they are good police cars, however, I have always complained about the suspension. When the car is new, the suspension feels really good for the first few months and then feels sluggish. I know one of the big problems is that we load the trunk with everything we can get in it (and more), but the car is our office most of the time. I am also a Police Emergency Vehicle Driving Instructor and know how I want the vehicle to feel on the track and in real life situations.

The Coil Pro does exactly what you say it will. It took us about 20-30 minutes to install and we noticed immediate results. My first drive with the Coil Pro felt like I was in a brand new car. The main complaint I had with my 1999 CV was that it had a lot of sway on the highway (especially with our Texas panhandle winds.) I took it out on the highway and could tell immediately that I was going to like this. The next day I went out on some winding roads and pushed the car to pursuit and track conditions. My new Coil Pro Crown Victoria was performing like it should. As a Chief, I feel confident that my officers are driving safer cars and are getting the performance they deserve. Again, thanks for such and innovative product.

The City of Martinsville Fleet Services installed Coil Pro’s on several of the Police Department’s Crown Victoria fleet. With the success of the test installations we are now in the process of installing them all on the Crown Victoria’s. The officers that I have spoken with are very pleased with the way it makes the cars handle. With all the equipment that most officers have to carry in the trunk the Coil Pro brought the car back to it’s original height, this has made the car more stable in pursuits and every day patrolling. The Coil Pro’s have eliminated most exhaust and bumper drag. We are in the process of repairing the rear bumper covers on these vehicles. The use of the Coil Pro’s will reduce if not eliminate the need for these repairs in the future. I like the ease of installation, it take’s very little time and does a very good job. I would like to thank you for a great product that will save the City of Martinsville money and down time.

My officers carry gear in the trunks weighing at least 200 pounds. With that weight in the trunk the rear squatted and the handling of the car was diminished quite considerably. After the Coil Pro was installed, my confidence in the car was increased. I don't see how I made it 16 years without this outstanding product. It is a must for any vehicle engaged in pursuit driving.
